God of
compassion and mercy,
Who loves all your children,
Be with the people of Pakistan who are facing floodwaters today,
Strengthen all who are trying to rescue stranded people,
Bring consolation to the children and all who are scared.
In the face of hardship, hunger and disease,
May our prayers and our actions,
and every small act of kindness so multiply
that your love is reflected in the darkest times.
In the name of Jesus Christ who suffered for us all,
